Super Mario Bunneh

a nintendo fangirl

Welcome to my new site! As you can tell, I’m a huge Yoshi fan – what you see above is just one small shelf of my Yoshi merchandise collection, which in turn is part of a larger Super Mario/Nintendo collection.

I actually grew up sharing an Atari and then a Sega Master System with my older brother. We only got to play the NES at our babysitter’s house, and I rarely got a turn with the boys. The Christmas our parents gave us each Gameboys and Tetris (complete with a link cable so we could battle each other!) was very exciting! We went on a lot of road trips back in the 80s, so we made good use of those.

Our dad taught us how to play Pac-Man on the Atari 2600, the very same Atari 2600 I still have to this day. I’ve cleaned it inside and out myself and replaced the video cable, and recently had the voltage regulator inside replaced. I also have the same Sega Master System my brother and I had as kids, though the case is broken from shipping. It doesn’t read cartridges anymore, but I keep it around because it’s one of the ones with Hang-On and Safari Hunt built in. I have another one without those games that does read cartridges.

I also have a Super Famicom, NES, SNES (gen 2, from the late 90s), Sega Genesis (one of the recent minis with built-in games and cartridge reader, though one of these days I plan to get a real one), N64, and GameCube. On top of all that, I have a pretty decent Gameboy collection!

There’s a YouTube site in the works, where I’ll share video clips from games I’m enjoying, both current and retro. In the meantime, check out my Instagram that’s been going on for a while, and I hope I’ll see you around!
